A 2020 aviation risk report published by Allianz highlights several key trends shaping the insurance landscape. The study points to a continued increase in both the frequency and overall costs of claims, alongside rising repair expenses driven by increasingly advanced aircraft technology.
It also notes that aircraft groundings are becoming more financially significant, while exposure to larger liability claims is growing. In addition, incidents involving foreign object damage and fuelling errors are reported to also be on the rise.
