Local charity Hope Hub who are working to prevent and help end homelessness in Surrey Heath has benefited from £1,558 raised by the team in Finchmpstead.
AAR Finchampstead/Airinmar have continued the tradition of raising money for local charities throughout the year. All employees were asked to nominate a preferred good cause and this year The Hope Hub based in Camberley was chosen. The total amount donated was £1,558
The money was raised through various activities including barbecues, raffles and a bake sale to celebrate the Super Bowl. There were also evening social events of a trip to the theatre and Top Golf.
Mags Mercer from the charity kindly visited our offices for a formal presentation of the donation and took the opportunity of explaining some of the great work that they do. Hope Hub works to prevent and end homelessness in Surrey. This involves running a day centre as well as providing one-to-one case worker support for those in need of ways to move towards independence. To hear about the work they do was inspirational and has made us more driven than ever to continue in our efforts to help the less fortunate in our local community.
