At Airinmar, supporting our community is an important part of who we are, which is why each year we nominate a charity to champion through our fundraising activities, and this year we couldn’t be prouder to have raised £845 for the Stroke Association – a charity very close to our hearts.
The Stroke Association uses the donations to support tens of thousands of people, aiming to make a huge difference in the lives of stroke survivors and their families. According to their website, in 2024/25 the kind donations from many have helped them reach over 66,000 people through their support services, nearly 38,000 people have received personal support through their local services, and their Stroke Support Helpline provided guidance and reassurance for around 15,000 enquiries.

For the last 6 months, the dedicated team have taken part in several activities in an effort to raise money for the Stroke Association. In January we began with 12 keen steppers who took part in the Airinmar Step Challenge; in total, the team managed an impressive 4,596,283 steps! That means, if we estimated around 2,000 steps per mile, they walked about 2,298 miles, which is in the region of 88 full marathons between the 12 steppers involved.
Then in March, Asma, our Technical Services Warranty Team Leader hosted a bake sale to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, with all of the proceeds going towards the Stroke Association; it allowed us to share food, bring people together and celebrate generosity and kindness, all whilst supporting others.
Additionally, our Goodwill Committee hosted the highly competitive Office Olympics, as well as an equally competitive Easter egg hunt. The Committee also hosted quizzes, ice pop sales and more, making it a very enjoyable and successful 6 months of fundraising!
